Senior Scientist/Project Manager
Daniel Malmon is a geomorphologist and project manager with Waterways. He carries out technical studies and supervises staff in the planning, design and implementation of ecological restoration projects, hydraulic and sediment transport studies, geomorphic evaluations, river engineering designs, and other types of river related projects. He has worked on a diverse range of projects throughout the world, with a focus on rivers in the Pacific Northwest and in the Southwest United States. He has published 18 peer reviewed papers and geologic maps on a variety of topics in hydrology, geology and geomorphology.
Daniel’s 20 years of experience in both scientific research and engineering consulting give him an unusual perspective that allows him to produce creative solutions and ensure best practices are applied to many types of environmental management problems.
